You'll learn how to navigate Excel, work with large worksheets, keep important information visible as you scroll, and customize the interface so your most-used tools are always within reach. These essential skills will help you save time, reduce errors, and make everyday tasks easier. 

 

Excel 1 includes two modules:

  • Module 1 - Foundations of Excel
  • Module 2 - Navigation and Formatting

 

This course is designed to provide an overview of Excel, covering the essential features below:

  • Workbook vs Worksheet 
  • Ribbon, Tabs and Groups
  • Quick Access Toolbar
  • Rows, Columns, Cells, & Ranges
  • Navigating Worksheets
  • Formatting Worksheets
  • Freezing Panes

  • File Protection

 

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Distinguish between a saved workbook file and its individual worksheet pages
  • Locate essential spreadsheet tools efficiently by browsing standard ribbon tabs
  • Identify cell coordinates and ranges
  • Customize the Quick Access Toolbar with high-frequency tools
  • Manage workbooks by renaming, color-coding, and rearranging worksheet tabs
  • Pin headers in place using the freeze panes
  • Protect your worksheet and/or workbook
